Please note that this post is written through an interview with a company that actively uses the Colawork Slack app. The third Colawork service user interview was conducted with Routine Online, an online TTC platform for yoga instructors.
Q: First of all, thank you so much for taking your time for this interview. To begin with the interview, could you please introduce yourself?
A: Hello, my name is Hae-Ri Lee, and I am the CEO of Routine Online.
Q: It is great to meet you. Our first question is, could you briefly explain what Routine Online does?
A: Routine Online operates an online TTC platform for yoga instructors. TTC is an acronym for “Teacher Training Course”. We build and provide a platform where yoga instructors can learn how to conduct lessons online.
Routine Online also provides services to match instructors with yoga studios and event companies.
Q: That sounds very fascinating. How many members are currently working at Routine Online? Also, what is the working environment like?
A: Routine Online is currently comprised of 13 team members, and all members are working from home.
Q: Glad to hear that your team is working from home. Colawork is a great service for a remote working team. Speaking of Colawork, what made Routine Online use Colawork service?
A: I started using Colawork with the hope that the mind will not be separated between team members. Especially because of reduced physical interactions due to the pandemic. I wanted the team to maintain great company culture, so that we can keep focus on the products and maintain great relationships as well.
Q: How are you using Colawork in the team right now?
A: We created a “Thank You” channel on Slack workspace. The channel is used solely to give and receive recognition using Colawork. We usually give recognitions after long video calls or meetings.
Nowadays, the team is actively using Colawork because we are currently working on this new project of creating an anatomy book. Everyone is working late night to meet the deadline, and it is very touching to see team members recognizing each other’s effort. Now it is so natural to express gratitude to others using Colawork.
Q: Thank you for using Colawork as we intended. We are happy to see that Colawork helps your team improve working environment. Is there anything else you want to comment on Colawork?
A: Before I introduced Colawork to the team, my only focus was on evaluating team members from HR management’s point of view. Now that I think about it, I can see that giving recognitions really create a positive workplace culture. I feel that the company’s working environment is getting healthier through this new culture brought to us by Colawork, and I am truly grateful to Colawork Team for creating such service.
